Singh is Kinng

'Singh Is King' offers a viewer the right to laugh without inhibitions and watch without inclinations. A typical movie you would like to watch on a lazy weekend or any other mundane day of the week for some senseless laughter.

The movie 'Singh is King' revolves around the life of Happy Singh (Akshay Kumar) portrayed as a real king of hearts with a blend of courage, compassion and accommodating nature. Despite these qualities, at the end of the day he is but a mortal with flaws, is foolhardy and sometimes a bit naïve.

He is not very lucky in life and most often circumstances betray him. His efforts to do any good will often have a negative impact on the entire situation. His intentions are good but the outcome is catastrophic, hence the villagers want to get rid of him. In a ruse to send him away they decide to send him on a long trip to bring Lucky Singh (Sonu Sood) back to Punjab. Entrusted with the duty, Happy Singh leaves for Australia to bring back the 'King Of Australia' who is ruining Punjab's reputation due to his underworld inclinations.

In Australia, Happy meets Sonia (Katrina Kaif) and falls in love with her instantly. She is young, chirpy and a vivacious law student. Many comic turns and misadventures later, there is an accidental wedding too. Happy Singh conveys the message of love, peace and virtue to the gang of thugs and succeeds in changing their outlook. Will Happy Singh be successful in bringing Lucky back to Punjab? Will he finally be able to do something right, well the movie will tell.

I am yet to buy the VCD but planning on buying one soon. I have especially liked the songs and dance sequences.

A word of caution: Please don't watch it with a presumption that it is a movie with a great story line, for Singh is King is more of a fun packed masala movie with music you can dance to and jokes you can laugh your hearts out to.
